Carriage Barn Society for the Arts - Book Talk with Anika Burgess

ANIKA BURGESS is a writer and photo editor. She has been published in The New York Times, The New Yorker, and Atlas Obscura. Anika has won a Front Page Award from the Newswomen’s Club of New York and has presented at Photoville New York. She holds degrees in law and history from the University of Sydney, and qualified as a lawyer before changing careers to journalism. Anika lives in New York with her husband, son, and an obstinate schnauzer called Sigmund.

SERENDIPITOUS I first was introduced to Anika Burgess in my role as a freelance photographer for The New York Times. Anika was the freelance photo editor for the Museums section and assigned me for the feature photography of the newly renovated Yale Center for British Art.
